About the Instructor:  Thom  Burruss is employed by AGL Resources, Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia, and has taught extensively in the field regarding the investigation of Natural Gas and LP Fires.  Before his current employment Mr. Burruss worked for Strickland Propane where he sold "Propane and Propane Accessories" at which time he coined his now famous phrase, "Butane is the bastard gas" Mr. Burruss is a former president of the Georgia Chapter of the IAAI.

Why should I join the Louisiana Association of Arson Investigators?  I can attend the training without joining.  Well, lets look at the last year.  If you attended the Northern Region Training you were instructed by one of the worlds foremost experts on fire investigation in Dr. John DeHaan.  It cost members $125 and non members $175 for this 2 day conference. 

If you attended the Southern Region Traing you heard cutting edge scientist, Dr. Eileen Pope, speak on fatal fires.  This 8 hour class was free for members and $20 for non members.   

If you attended the Annual General Meeting, you learned about Marine Vessel Fires from Steve Carman.  This 2.5 days of training cost members $125 and non members paid $175. 

For your $10 dollar membership, you would have paid $250 for 44 hours of top notch training.  Non members would have paid $370 for the same courses, so your $10 investment could have saved you a total of $120.  Now that is a bargain.
